The last quarter decides the year for many beauty brands. Between Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday on 27 November, Cyber Monday on 30 November and the gift season, Amazon Europe sees more demand, higher costs and more sellers trying to take a share of your listings. This checklist is what we go through for every brand we sell.
1. Know what Q4 costs you
Amazon has announced a peak fulfilment fee from 15 October 2026 to 14 January 2027 for Germany and the UK, on top of the normal FBA fulfilment fees. Monthly storage also costs more per cubic metre from October to December. Before you plan stock and prices, recalculate the margin per product with the current rate card in Seller Central, not last year’s figures.
2. Send stock early, and not too much
- Plan inbound shipments so stock is live well before Black Friday. Fulfilment centres slow down as volumes rise.
- Size the Q4 order on last year’s sell-through plus a buffer for deals, not on hope. Stock that is still there in January carries storage costs and ageing fees.
- Decide which storefronts get stock: Pan-European FBA, a few core countries, or shipping from your own warehouse for the smaller ones.
- Keep a reserve outside Amazon, in the EU, so you can refill quickly when a product sells out.
3. Check that every listing is complete
Listings with missing product safety details are a common reason for suppressed offers, and a suppressed bestseller in November is expensive. Check the responsible person details, safety information, images and translations on every storefront where you sell, and fix duplicate or merged listings before the traffic arrives.
4. Plan your deals and your price position
Decide in advance which products get a deal, in which countries and at what price, and make sure the deal price still leaves a margin after the peak fee. Remember that in the EU you set the price of your own offer, but you cannot impose resale prices on other sellers. What you can do is keep your own offer consistent and act against offers that are not genuine or not meant for the EEA market.
5. Watch your listings every day of the peak
- New sellers on your bestsellers, especially on deal days.
- Price drops far below your normal level, which can point to counterfeit or grey-market stock.
- Changed titles, images or claims.
- Reviews that mention a different smell, texture or packaging.
- Stock-outs that hand the Buy Box to someone else.
6. Prepare service and returns
More orders mean more questions and more returns in January. Answer customer questions quickly in the local language, and check returned units before they go back on sale, so nothing opened or damaged is sold again.
7. Put a date in January for the review
After the peak, look at what sold, where you ran out, which new sellers appeared and what your real margin was after fees. That review is the start of next year’s plan.
